on the stands I have the last issue of JONAH HEX...which really bums me out. Even with us writing more Jonah tales in ALL STAR WESTERN, we still feel we are coming to a close on a big chunk of our lives with this character. 70 issues is a lot of books in a row to have...especially since the title has never shipped late once and the amount of super talent on the book makes me look back and thing how the hell did we pull it off. I will publicly thank everyone we had on the series somewhere...if someone gives us the place to do it...but again, its a downer in a lot of ways and a blessing we were so lucky to have so many die hard fans support us over the years.
As well, DEATHSTROKE 3 comes out. Going to head to TORONTO this week and do a job I can probably talk about in a few months...and no, it has nothing to do with comic books.
San Diego was amazing this year because of the event we were involved with called TRICKSTER! read all about it on the internet. ReplyDeleteI am a LOYAL Hex reader. Have every single trade and it's by far the one trade I most look forward to each year (or twice a year?).
So, I'm sad to see the title go, but I'm also excited to see what else you guys bring to the Western genre in All Star Western!

ReplyDeleteThere are really an awful lot of lovely girls this week, so I"m going to focus more on the photos and less on the women. Let's just take it as a given that they are all gorgeous in their own ways. :)
ReplyDeleteI like #4 for the color tones (the soft light, the warm wooden floors, the tint of the model's skin), as well as the glimpse of the woods out back. Love the tiny pool of water on the floors too. (No idea why)
#6 seems timeless. I could see this pic being taken 15 years ago or this morning. The model is not really my type, but she fits the mood of the piece, and the white of her skirt and whatever is in her hair helps offset her body against the slightly blurred forest she is standing in.
#9: Great eyes. I love the hair floating about her face, and the simplicity of the necklace that is her only adornment. I think the bookshelf behind her helps ground her in the scene while also providing bursts of (muted) color. The fact that her breast is visible is almost entirely secondary.
#11: This seems more like a painting (and an amazing one at that) than a picture. Phenomenal backdrop; the skies, the woods, the water, the worn down city buildings. The contrast between that and the young, beautiful naked woman might be too much, but the quiet, subdued nature of her pose seems to bridge the divide between environment and actor. One of my all-time favorites... just wish it was bigger!
