Love these photos taken around the 1940's in a couple of big cities around the country.

I guess they were eating all the dogs back then.

I had a place like this near me in Brooklyn when I was a kid. Didnt last, which is a shame.

A twitter friend sent me this link: photos of NYC in the 40's

I have done all my shopping online because I cannot deal with frenzied maniacs looking for a few dollars off. Here is a nice alternative...Making music for a kitty.

Alex and Julie Abene of Twin Bee designs are two fans I see once in a while at the cons. First, they are adorable, smart and sweet as hell. Next, they like to dress up as superhero characters, sporting their own hand-made costumes and have some fun doing it...and they both always look amazing. This last show, at NYCC, they dressed up and sent me photos so I could share them with you all. As you can see, Terra is the main draw for me...and then there is powergirl and supergirl. I think they look amazing and I am almost inspired to get D.C.'s blessing and film a short film of terra...even if its for a limited audience. Yeah, dont know if the girls really want to act at all...but how cool do they look?

What would be fun is to give them advance costume designs on the new book Justin and I are working on TRIGGERGIRL 6 and let them dress up and feature it in the book...girls? what do you think?

Here is the link to their site...and I think everyone should leave a comment and show them some love for their hard work.

Hope I got the photo credits right...
