Sorry so late with this, had a long depressing day looking at the publishing numbers for any book that tries something new, something different and something not the usual superhero cape and spandex. Its all depressing that the audience for NEW is so small. I love each and every person that tries to break out of the normal...and support them as well. The rest of the world is content with Mc Donalds comics...and I get that. Maybe bucking the trends is all I can really do on some level, and having a lot of success on something is exclusive to the bigger name characters or talent the companies decide to get behind and push.
Sure, we have our breakout title in the creator owned market...but I can name all 4 of them over the past 5 years... sad when you think of all the amazing alternate material out there. We speak with our dollars and the day I can afford to put together a series that can survive on less that 5 thousand fans, I will be winning on all levels.
Until then I push forward with my projects, start my Kickstarters, throw out my Image comic ideas and bite the bullet. If everyone that stopped here on mondays bought a copy of Creator -Owned heroes, I would be the happiest man alive. I do thank those that do. we will continue to push forward till we cant.
I am a positive person and
that has always kept me successful, even when things arent the greatest. I think the secret to it all is in there somewhere. I refuse to limit my ideas, no matter what the outcome. I do not quit things...I recognize when they arent working though. Even that takes me a while though...lol.
Yeah, a negative message with a positive turn and outcome. Thats my brain.

this week a lot of wonderful superstars in my eyes. Someone asked me at the NYC con how I pick the girls and I told them, the ones that say something to me beyond I am pretty always get here. attitude and joy...and the look of someone that enjoys their body. Nothing wrong with joining them, eh?
